Another exciting Caprice kid. Lucy is maturing beautifully and I can’t wait to see how she freshens. Her dam, Caprice, is sitting at 99% on the Elite doe list and started at 98% as a first freshener. She just finished her second lactation at over 1600 lbs! Caprice also won 2 legs toward her championship this year and her LA score was VEEE 90.
Seeker was chosen for the Herd Sire Development Program with an ETA21: 45 and ETA12: 36. His full sister, SG Redstone Dark Star 4*M AR 2014, LA VEEE 92, was a top 10 in 2018 for BF.

I am super excited for this young doe from Dew Drop. She reminds a lot of her grand dam Rosetta and she is long, wide (LA 2023, Rump width: 34) and well put together like her grand dams Caprice and Rosetta. Check out the photos--so similar is she to Rosetta. She has one of the nicest udders in terms of milkability, softness and expression. She’s a joy to hand milk.

Mystique is a lovely doe out a line based on two of our foundation does as well as two of our foundation bucks. Her dam line is friendly, easy going, and so sweet. I find that yearlings are usually awkward, temporarily putting their energy in their kids. Mystique as a yearling first freshener (kidding at a year and 2 days old) is unusually elegant with a long bone pattern. She gets that from her dam and sire. She kidded easily (and loudly--takes after her dam that way) and her udder is just lovely in texture and feel.

Wow--can I just say!! I am really excited about this doe!! As a first freshener, she made the Elite list at 98 percentile!! Her LA score as a first freshener at 1-04 is VVEV 87 and a rump width of 34.
She is a combination of two dam lines that I love, love, love. Caprice, granddam, has proven herself in all arenas. Jane, dam, is a consistently producing dairy goat. She received her superior genetics award as a first freshener and this year, she joined the Elite Doe list at 95th percentile!! Jane’s a fifth freshener with 4557 lbs in the pail!!
Back to Minerva, she has a socked on mammary that is a joy to hand milk!! Fore udder attachment: 35, rear udder height: 34, rear udder arch: 30!! Not bad for a yearling first freshener!! I have bred Jane to Remy for a repeat breeding.
